Boardman Bikes Launch 3D Footage on YouTube.
‘The Commute’ starring stuntman Rob Jarman is a 3D production, professionally produced for YouTube to help promote Boardman Bikes latest products.
The high definition 3D film sees the stuntman rampaging through the Welsh countryside on the new Boardman mountain bike. The minute and a half long film takes advantage of the thousands of 3D glasses that were given out across the UK during Channel 4’s 3D week.
The exciting 3D feature which is viewable on YouTube has been launched in HD 2D as well as 3D so that the video is still viewable even if you don’t have your glasses to hand.
2009 has certainly witnessed a 3D explosion, the release of 3D TV’s, cameras, laptops and even sat navs have all encouraged people to believe in the future of 3D. Even YouTube is capitalizing on 3D’s current popularity by introducing these 3D videos to there website. Picasso’s Guernica in 3D.
One of history’s most iconic and recognizable artists has had one of his most popular pieces of work brought to life thanks to 3D technology.
‘Guernica’ is a painting by Pablo Picasso which depicts the intense bombing of Guernica by the German Luftwaffe on April 26th 1937, during the Spanish Civil War. The original project was commissioned to Picasso by the Spanish Republican government with the aim to create a large mural to be displayed at the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne (1937).
Guernica was Picasso’s reaction to this tragedy and it is now brought to life using 3D technology! The fascinating YouTube clip allows viewers to experience an in depth visual version of this infamous piece of art.

Flanimals is set for a big screen 3D release.
Ricky Gervais the multi award winning British comedian and mastermind behind the hit TV show ‘The Office’ is set to have one of his latest creations turned into a 3D animated adventure.
‘Flanimals’, the extremely successful series of animated children’s books which were written by Gervais are set to be co-produced by Universal Studios animation house ‘Illumination Entertainment’ and the 3D production will be hitting the big screens in the near future.
Currently Gervais is working with ‘The Simpsons Movie’ writer Matt Selman on the script for Flanimals, which is a story about a strange alien world that is filled with bizarre looking imaginary creatures. Ricky is set to lend his voice to the short chubby character called Puddy. For which he added ‘It will be great to play a short, fat, sweaty loser for a change. It will be a real stretch.’
It is rumored that Gervais is aiming to gain the vocal talents of American stars such as Samuel L Jackson and the distinctive Danny DeVito.

RealD and Look3D: Finest Stylish 3D Glasses
The well known developer of 3D projection hardware for cinemas, RealD (Los Angeles), closed a deal with an Australian eyewear firm — Look3D.
Part of RealD and Look3D‘s contract is to create the finest stylish glasses. Look3D will design, manufacture, and distribute a line of 3D glasses. Likewise, these glasses will be compatible with RealD theaters worldwide. Moviegoers may also purchase and own a pair of 3D glass!
RealD and Look3D expect their 3D glasses out by December.

A much stylish RealD glasses will be out soon!
