2010 Academy Award’s Nominations.

Could 3D dominate this year’s Oscars? The nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards have been revealed and three 3D movies were included in the line-up. Of course the world’s highest grossing film of all time Avatar was included, but two others made the list too, Disney/Pixar’s ‘Up’ and Henry Selick’s ‘Coraline’. Avatar is nominated for 9 Oscars and the nominations include; best picture, directing, visual effects and cinematography. ‘Up’ will go head to head with the big blue giant for the best picture, sound editing and music (original score) awards. Coraline is nominated for the best animated film award against ‘UP’, which was one of 2009’s most popular 3D cinema releases.

The prestigious awards ceremony will be broadcast worldwide on March 7th.
