First Ever 3D Shooter for Nintendo Wii

The innovative video games producer Majesco Entertainment today revealed their latest project,   ‘Attack of the Movies 3D’. Attack of the Movies 3D will be the first-ever 3D shooter game designed exclusively for the Nintendo Wii. The game takes players to numerous movie-themed worlds where they come face to face in battle with aliens, sea monsters and more. The gameplay also features many classic enemies from the vaults of movie history so keep your eyes peeled. Attack of the Movies 3D comes with four sets of 3D glasses so that upto four people can join in on the multiplayer action which the Nintendo Wii is so good for. The game is expected to be released in spring 2010.

3D Technology at CES 2010.

2010, the year of the tiger will also be the year of the worldwide 3D regeneration. 2010 began with AVATAR standing high above every other film in the box office rankings just as its 10 foot Na’vi characters do in the movie. It then broke records as it sailed passed the $1 Billion mark on the first weekend of 2010. 3D cinema is obviously in high demand and the numerous 3D movies from 2009 which are also Golden Globe award nominees prove this. So what else does this year have in store for the technology and the 3D world? We will soon find out, as the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) kicks off in Las Vegas on January 7th-10th. JVC INTRODUCES IF-2D3D1 STEREOSCOPIC IMAGE PROCESSOR

JVC today introduced their new product to the world. JVC’s IF-2D3D12D is a 3D converter and 3D L/R mixer aimed at video producers. The technology is compatible with a range of  HD formats and it is designed to help improve 3D producers work flow whether they are converting old 2D content to 3D or capturing fresh 3D content. Dave Walton, the assistand vice president of marketing and communication said that, “With the public’s renewed interest in 3D for both theatrically released content and beyond, many content producers are looking to repurpose existing 2D materials to meet demand. Meanwhile, other producers creating new content need an uncomplicated way to check their 3D footage on location…This single unit is ideal for both. MPEGIF Kicks off 3DTV Working Group at CES 2010

The MPEG Industry Forum (MPEGIF), the largest standard’s based digital TV technology advocacy group today announced a date for their first inaugural meeting of the newly created 3DTV Working Group. The meeting will be held on January 9th during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The meeting will run for an hour, starting at 1pm in Room 110 at the MGM Conference Center in Vegas. All interested industry professionals are welcome to attend the meeting.

Picross 3D in Europe this February

No release date has been announced yet but rumors says that Picross 3D is to come!

Inspired by the familiar Picross puzzle, Picross 3D was developed by HALL Laboratory. Players make marks in squares based on clues about how many in each row or column should be numbered, , in which players make marks in But Picross 3D starts with cubes instead of squares, with each mark chipping away at the cube to reveal a voxel-based 3D object.

Picross 3D for DS was one of the titles announced by Nintendo at E3, but not dated. Cubed3 reports that Nintendo has confirmed the February 5 date.
