3D Night at Bangkok’s FCCT Engages A Curious Group

On Monday, Oct 11, 3D Guy Al Caudullo conducted a hands on session with a collection of some of the latest 3D products, at the Foreign Correspondent’s Club of Thailand for their 3D Video night in Bangkok. It was clear 3D in Asia is a rising popularity, from the numerous Billboard ads, to the three dimensional models of fish “popping off” the billboard above Siam square, the turnout was testament to the publics fascination for this emerging developing technology. The curious crowd was a mix of families, media professionals, networkers and the random curious onlookers so common in Bangkok City. People were intrigued, surprised, impressed and overall came away with knowledge about the current state of 3D technology available to both consumers and professional content creators.

Al showed off Panasonic’s new Professional HD3D camera and its signature integrated twin lens. Also on hand was the 25″ broadcast monitor.Panasonics 3D consumer camcorder made a popular appearance, along with the 50″ 3D television and 3d Blu-ray player. It was a fun informative night for all, and Al hopes to do more public appearances showcasing 3D technology when his busy schedule allows.
