We think that they should and so do a lot of our viewers. So, we aren’t doing this for money. We want to encourage the studios to do the 3D thing! If you agree with us then leave a comment!

Tim Dashwood is a cinematographer. He isn’t a software writer. He comes from, as he puts it, “an independent world of filmmakers”. With the recent news that the 2010 FIFA World Cup will be offered to audiences worldwide in 3D, why not experience what 3D soccer looks like one month in advance! 3DGUY’s 3D soccer is also ideal for people that do not have access to the UK’s 3D Premier League soccer games, but are curious to see how the beautiful game may look in 3D. Obviously our footage doesn’t contain the familiar faces that the 3D FIFA World Cup will bring such as Kaka, Torres, Gerrard, Lampard, Ronaldo and Messi, however it does offer audiences a beautiful 3D experience of the fast paced sporting event that is adored around the world. July 31, 2009: Toy Story 3D Trailer in Side-by-Side 3D: Download Video | Blog Entry w/ Anaglyph So with my humble apolgizes to the fantastic artists and animators at Disney and Pixar, I have re-created the trailer for Toy Story 3D in 3D. I hope you enjoy it and maybe the guys at Disney and Pixar will take the hint and start putting trailers for 3D Movies into 3D Trailers on the web. You can also view this video in side-by-side-half for use on iZ3D, Zalaman, and other circular polarized monitors. For the 2D-to-3D conversion we used Spatial View’s SVI 3D Editor 2D-to-Stereo Converter. Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and Toy Story 3 are copyright Disney/Pixar. July 9, 2009: Meant To Be Seen Interview at Dimension 3 Expo in France (June 2009) converted to Side-by-Side-half: Download Video | Blog Entry w/ Anaglyph We took our video interview from the Dimension 3 Expo in Pantin, France, just outside of Paris, with Neil Schneider, founder of Meant To Be Seen (MTBS) 3D, an Internet forum on Stereoscopic 3D, and converted the video clip to Stereoscopic 3D. This is how we did it and the two versions we created: We used a combination of 2D and 3D in the finished video. The original interview was shot in 2D High-Definition on a Sony PMW EX3. The original edit was done using Grass Valley Edius Broadcast Pro 5.01. Music background was created using Sonicfire Pro SmartSound 5.1. We utilized Spatial View Stereo plugin for After Affects CS4. The opening and closing graphics were added to the line along with the 2D video. We then added an adjustment layer and loaded the plugin to the adjustment layer. Spatial View 3D-to-Stereo conversion allowed us to layer the 3D in multiple parallax views. In addition, Spatial View allows us to view the conversion in Anaglyph or any number of side-by-side or top-and-bottom Stereo views. We utilized Anaglyph to make the initial adjustments and fine tune the 3D variables. We then rendered out each of the video segment – the open, the interview, and the close – separately in both Anaglyph and half-side-by-side formats. We then stiched these three together using Edius Broadcast Pro. Finally, using Adobe CS4 Media Encoder, we used the Apple TV720p setting for outputting our final MP4′s which were then uploaded to YouTube and our FTP server. The half-side-by-side format is compatible with both iZ3d and Zalman Trimon 3D LCDs.

This 3D video was shot at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. It demonstrates the latest Brother sewing machine technology in high definition 3D.
