Eric Testroete’s 3D paper masks


Eric Testroete’s uses 3D programing and design to recreate what was once known as “Big Head Mode” in the late 90′s in most popular video games.
Inspired by the paperwork of Bert Simons and Haywan Chiu, he created the mask of himself for Halloween using 3D modeling programs and paper. This reasonably simple process is a most interesting use of these programs. A incredibly creative and intutive blend of the high and lo tech. When looking at these photos it is hard to wrap one’s mind around the fact that these are unaltered photographs. DIY is back and is utilizing a whole new bag of tricks and tools.
