The upcoming FIFA World Cup is set to offer audiences a new way of watching the beautiful game.

It has been announced that the 2010 competition which will be hosted by South Africa will have up to 50% of its games covered in stereoscopic 3D! Electronics manufacturers such as Panasonic, Samsung, LG and Sony (one of the tournaments main sponsors) will all be making 3D displays widely available just before the tournament is set to start.

FIFA is rumored to of considered numerous transmission options, some of which include broadcasting through cinemas and also offering mass audiences outdoor specialty coverage.
