Kenny Rogers recently revealed that he will be recording a television special to commemorate the first 50 years of his musical career. The special will be filmed in high definition digital 3D on April 10^th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The show will be called ‘Kenny Rogers: The First 50 Years.’

Kenny Rogers when talking about the upcoming show said that, “When this was first proposed to me as a 50-year celebration, something about that sounded final, and I didn’t want that, so I suggested we call it ‘The First 50 Years.’ I will tell you this, the first 50 years TV show is going to be awesome – the next 50 years TV show is going to be a bitch.”
