RealD Join S-3D Gaming Alliance (S3DGA)

Stereoscopic 3D is the same technology used in modern 3D movie theatres, also earning similar interest in the gaming space. To maximize this opportunity, The S-3D Gaming Alliance was announced at SIGGRAPH 2009, and has been acquiring drive ever since.
“Leading game developers have already shown that S-3D gaming is equally possible on XBOX, PS3, and PC solutions. With several new 3D Ready products due out in 2010, game developers and manufacturers need a standard to work with. There is also the matter of public education and further building the demand for this new gaming experience,” said Neil Schneider, the President and CEO of S3DGA.
The S-3D Gaming Alliance is an industry standards and advocacy group designed to accelerate the adoption of display technologies through stereoscopic 3D video games. S3DGA provides for standards discussions, consumer promotion, education, and awareness. Its membership is comprised of organizations and individuals with an interest in developing S-3D hardware and software solutions.
