SENSIO and Cyberlink Team Up to Produce 3D Software.

Cyberlink and Sensio Join Forces to Create 3D Software

SENSIO Technologies Inc. (the producer of the SENSIO® 3D technology) and Cyberlink have recently signed a letter of intent to integrate SENSIO’s S3D software decoder into Cyberlink’s award winning Power DVD video player software.


PowerDVD is one of the leading applications for DVD and Blu-ray viewing on PC’s and it is incorporated into many popular brand name computers and optical disc drives all over the world. The integration of both companies software will allow consumers to watch high definition 3D content from the comfort of their own computer.

The SENSIO Stereoscopic Software Decoder which is also known as the S3D is a new software adaptation of the SENSIO® 3D decoder. The new SENSIO® 3D software application enables users to view 3D content on a PC that has a 2D or 3D screen. The integration of this new 3D software with CyberLinks PowerDVD video player application will allow users to experience high-resolution 3D content of a beautiful quality.

Both SENSIO and Cyberlink seem very positive about their newly established commitment to each other, Alice H. Chang, the CEO of CyberLink admitted that “We are delighted to work with Sensio to deliver the next generation of home entertainment. By leveraging Sensio’s advance 3D technologies within PowerDVD we are able to enhance the movie watching experience and offer consumers another dimension for enjoying DVDs and Blu-ray movies.”

SENSIO’s President and Chief Executive Officer , Nicholas Routhier,, proudly stated that; “We are very pleased to cooperate with CyberLink, the PC digital multimedia development leader. This agreement is another step that confirms our momentum in the consumer electronics market and that moves us closer to our objective of becoming the de facto standard for PC platforms, playstations and 3D televisions.”

A demonstration of the new software combination is set to be given at Januarys 2010 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which runs from January 7th-10th at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada.
