The Acer GD245HQ 3D capable monitor is now available on the Japanese consumer market. The 24” LCD 3D display offers users a full 1920 x 1080p HD viewing experience and was designed to be used in conjunction with NVIDIA 3D Vision technology to enable users to experience stereoscopic 3D at home. The Acer monitor utilizes a 120Hz refresh rate, a 80,000:1 contrast ratio and offers a brightness of 300cd/m2, alongside a 2ms response time. It comes with connectivity ports such as DVI-D, D-sub and HDMI outputs and is now available for 45,000 Yen ($485).

A new 3D capable projector has recently hit the market, the Acer S5200. Priced at just over $1,000 the Acer S5200 is suitable for home entertainment use, but it is being aimed primarily at classroom and presentation environments. The projector utilizes a 120Hz refresh rate and can display 3D content when it is used in conjunction with a compatible graphics card and 3D shutter glasses.

Acer has revealed its latest 3D capable LCD display, the GD-235HZ. When the display which utilizes a 120Hz refresh rate and 1920 x 1080p resolution is combined with Nvidia 3D Vision active-shutter glasses technology, it offers users high quality 3D content perfect for gaming. The 23.6-inch display has a 1920 x 1080p resolution and comes with an aspect ratio of 16:9. 3DGuy, Al Caudullo, already had a chance for some hands-on time with the Acer Aspire 5738DG at the 3D Entertainment Summit held in Los Angeles, California last September 2009. Acer launched new Windows 7 hardware this week. Acer announced amongst other hardware the Acer Aspire 5738PG. Acer 5738DG is actually a 3D notebook. Acer’s new 3D technology called Acer 3D CineReal technology comprised of special coated displays, polarized glasses and TriDef 3D Experience software. Acer Aspire 5738DG notebook is the first Acer computer to use this technology. The notebook features built-in software which can convert regular 2D movies to 3D, and will also directly support 3D movies. UK’s PC Pro commented, “It works well. I watched a number of nice-looking demos where futuristic planes flew through futuristic landscapes…” Source: pocket-lint
