Ricky Gervais the multi award winning British comedian and mastermind behind the hit TV show ‘The Office’ is set to have one of his latest creations turned into a 3D animated adventure. ‘Flanimals’, the extremely successful series of animated children’s books which were written by Gervais are set to be co-produced by Universal Studios animation house ‘Illumination Entertainment’ and the 3D production will be hitting the big screens in the near future. Currently Gervais is working with ‘The Simpsons Movie’ writer Matt Selman on the script for Flanimals, which is a story about a strange alien world that is filled with bizarre looking imaginary creatures. Ricky is set to lend his voice to the short chubby character called Puddy. For which he added ‘It will be great to play a short, fat, sweaty loser for a change. It will be a real stretch.’ It is rumored that Gervais is aiming to gain the vocal talents of American stars such as Samuel L Jackson and the distinctive Danny DeVito. Source: Slashfilm.com
