Picasso’s Guernica in 3D.
One of history’s most iconic and recognizable artists has had one of his most popular pieces of work brought to life thanks to 3D technology.
‘Guernica’ is a painting by Pablo Picasso which depicts the intense bombing of Guernica by the German Luftwaffe on April 26th 1937, during the Spanish Civil War. The original project was commissioned to Picasso by the Spanish Republican government with the aim to create a large mural to be displayed at the Exposition Internationale des Arts et Techniques dans la Vie Moderne (1937).
Guernica was Picasso’s reaction to this tragedy and it is now brought to life using 3D technology! The fascinating YouTube clip allows viewers to experience an in depth visual version of this infamous piece of art.
