Broadcasting Networks in Japan Will Go 3D

Popular Japanese manufacturers, Sony, Panasonic and Toshiba showcased their 3D TV sets at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas earlier this year. 3D televisions and its related technologies were the stars at the event. The future of technology is 3D. Now, broadcasting networks in Japan don’t want to be left behind.

Sky Perfect J SAT Holdings Inc. and Jupiter Telecommunications Co. (J:COM), Japan’s leading satellite and cable broadcasters respectively, are in talks of acquiring 3D programming. Local media reports say that Sky Perfect is anticipated to have some content on its satellite channels by the summer. Movies and sports contents were planned for its current channels. In the same way, Jupiter Telecommunications Co. (J:COM), the nation’s biggest cable company, is also humored to have plans to introduce 3D programming.
